Tech 101 for Beginners - 10:00am to 12:00pm - Select Saturdays - See Dates Below
Only 10 spots available per class
The Tech 101 course is designed to help you understand and learn the fundamentals of kart maintenance and repair. The goal is for you to come away from the course with greater confidence in being able to perform work on your own kart.
Program details are as follows:
- Pre-Session Checklist- Learn things like how to prime the fuel system, check the spark plug, and ensure you're sufficiently lubed up.
- Kart Start-Up - Tires set-up will dramatically affect the kart handling. Learn how to set the ideal tire pressure for different track conditions.
- Cleaning - Many racers do not spend sufficient time cleaning their kart, but it's a very important aspect of maintaining your kart, and we'll show you how.
- Chassis Prep & Maintenance - Constant checking of the bearings for dirt and noise, inspecting the steering components and axle set up are vital aspects of maintenance. We will go through commonly overlooked tasks (like loose weights or dragging brake lines) that could cost you a race or cause further damage to your kart. The drive system and cooling system will be gone over as well.
There will be plenty of time for questions and answers during this class.
