Are you interested in getting into the sport of karting, but would like to give it a try before purchasing the equipment? This one hour class gives you the opportunity to get a real feel of a race kart. Instructor will provide basic karting information to help you get comfortable and familiar with driving a race kart.

Race Kart Group Workshop with Equipment Rental
Our elite driving instructors will guide you through a blend of on and off track sessions in both the recreation karts and race karts. The workshop concludes with 20 minutes of free track time to test your new founded skills. The race karts are equipped with race bred engines capable of reaching speeds of 80mph.

Regardless of whether you are a novice driver seeking basic skills or a seasoned driver hoping to hone your skills, our Michael Valiante trained instructors will build a curriculum to fit your needs. Coaching will improve lap times, increase confidence and improve overall knowledge which is vital in developing your skills.
All lessons are one on one and available on a per hour basis.
Coaching days are rescheduled in the event of a rain day, although some exceptions are made.
If you would like coaching but you do not own a kart or your flying in from another location, the cost of equipment rental is an additional $300/hour.

The Tech 101 course is designed to help you understand and learn the fundamentals of kart maintenance and repair. The goal is for you to come away from the course with greater confidence in being able to perform work on your own kart.
Program details are as follows:
Pre-Session Checklist- Learn things like how to prime the fuel system, check the spark plug, and ensure you're sufficiently lubed up.
Kart Start-Up - Tires set-up will dramatically affect the kart handling. Learn how to set the ideal tire pressure for different track conditions.
Cleaning - Many racers do not spend sufficient time cleaning their kart, but it's a very important aspect of maintaining your kart, and we'll show you how.
Chassis Prep & Maintenance - Constant checking of the bearings for dirt and noise, inspecting the steering components and axle set up are vital aspects of maintenance. We will go through commonly overlooked tasks (like loose weights or dragging brake lines) that could cost you a race or cause further damage to your kart. The drive system and cooling system will be gone over as well.
There will be plenty of time for questions and answers during this class.
Private Tech Sessions
One of SIMA's trained and experienced tech's will work one on one with you and your equipment. Karting has a big learning curve and there are always valuable pieces of information that can help you maintain and improve the performance of your equipment.
Session are offered on a per hour basis. Pre-session questionnaire's are sent out prior to to lesson to understand your expectations and goals. Must use your own set of tools.
