Facility Expansion

One Step Closer to Our Dream

This year has been an immense time of struggle for many people. We have been faced with challenges no one could expect, but have also overcome more than we thought possible. Before COVID hit, Italian Motors had been in the initial stages of planning an expansion of its karting facility SIMA. The expansion would include more garages for personal storage, RV sites with water and power, restrooms with showers, a spectator overpass and ofcourse an extension of the track itself.

Today are excited to announce that Italian Motors has been granted approval to move forward with plans for a track and facility expansion. The project will be completed in phases as finances allow. However, the prospect of growth and something new is a welcomed change of focus, and something we are very excited to share with the karting community.

The expansion will increase the track length from ¾ of a mile long to 1.04 miles of racing surface. The addition of a new 630ft. pit lane will increase the total combined track length to 1.16 miles (1.87 km), providing racers with one of the longest racing surfaces in the region.

SIMA continues to offer its guests a world-class karting facility for family, friends and enthusiasts alike to have a beautiful place to share their passion for this sport.  Please stay tuned for additional details to follow as the project develops.
